Hi chef/libby,
just wanted to inform you that keith expressed his sincere gratitude for the hospitality and honesty exhibited by chef while they were vacationing. apparently the other members of his entourage opted for the hotel sponsored tour -- and weren't too happy with being taken straight from point "a" to point "b" and back. keith actually pulled out a map and excitedly pointed out everywhere that they visited -- from st mary to st elizabeth; detailed how chef would often intervene if, in his opinion, a higgler was attempting to charge too much; and how keith absolutely loved jackfruit in particular. His wife stated that she's no longer eating fruit from the U.S.! LoL
what resonated the most with me was Keith stating that they "have a friend in jamaica" and how chef made them feel absolutely comfortable - such that Keith felt he could spend an entire evening just reasoning with one another. they were absolutely impressed and overwhelmed. i think for about 5 minutes he just shook his head and said "man...we had a GREAT time, chef absolutely took care of us."
for that i say thank you all - tara for providing the link, and libby/chef for taking care of my co-worker and his wife. :)
